The 3rd year we were together we decided to try somewhere different and get some different competition. So we joined SELO. We had babies, dinkies, tinies and juniors.

The babies had a mixed year, usually because there weren’t enough dancers in line. Same went for the dinkies. With only 4 in line they lost too many points to come in. Our new dinky leader though grew in confidence and just missed out on leader of the year but won champion leader. The tinies again were very good and the juniors also had a really good year. We missed a lot of comps this year so I knew we weren’t in the running for anything of the year but had a shot at champions. Indeed we came away with champion baby leader, champion dinky leader, champion tiny troupe and champion junior leader and champion junior troupe. Yet again the girls had done me but more importantly, themselves proud.

The xmas following these champs I became quite ill and had no choice but to pull out as trainer. No-one else was willing to take over so sadly, Leigh Zodiacs disbanded. Some girls joined other troupes but many stopped dancing.
